Overview
Established in 1934 to care for the records of the federal government, the National Archives displays the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights in its Rotunda. It preserves more than 13 billion pages plus maps, films, and photographs, and administers the presidential libraries across the country.
