Overview
Charles Follen McKim built the 1906 palazzo for Pierpont Morgans library, with frescoed ceilings and triple tiered bookcases of rarities. Now a public museum and research library expanded by Renzo Piano in 2006, it exhibits three Gutenberg Bibles, Mozart and Dickens manuscripts, and ancient Near Eastern cylinder seals.
