Overview
Established in 1798 as the national library of the Batavian Republic, the KB in The Hague collects everything published in the Netherlands. Around 7 million publications fill its 1982 building near the central station, and the KB leads the national program for long term preservation of digital publications, web archives, and e books deposited by publishers.
