Overview
Oxfords great library, refounded by Thomas Bodley in 1602 on the ruins of Duke Humfreys medieval hall, has been a legal deposit library since 1610, entitled to every United Kingdom publication. More than 13 million printed items spread across the Old Library, the Radcliffe Camera, and modern stacks. Scenes from the Harry Potter films were shot in Duke Humfreys Hall and the neighboring Divinity School.
