Overview
The national library of Sweden dates to 1661, when a royal decree required printers to deliver a copy of everything published to the crown. Its Humlegarden building in central Stockholm holds around 20 million objects, including the Codex Gigas, the giant Devils Bible of the early 13th century with its famous full page portrait of the devil.
